TAV Airports CEO Serkan Kaptan said: “Almaty continues to grow both in passenger traffic and cargo as one of the key stops on the modern Silk Road extending from Asia to Europe and Africa, and on the Middle Corridor, which is also of great importance for our country. We are continuing a comprehensive investment program at Almaty Airport to enhance passenger experience and operational efficiency. Today, with our portfolio of 15 airports in eight countries, we are proud to represent Türkiye’s expertise and know-how in airport operations in every geography where we operate. In this context, we are also pleased to contribute to the bilateral relations with Kazakhstan, with which we share strong historical and cultural ties.”
TAV Airports started operating Almaty Airport in 2021. The company completed its first investment program worth 257 million euros, covering the new international and VIP terminals, in 2024.
