TAV Airports launches digital safety awareness booklet for children

On April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, TAV Airports launched a special awareness initiative aimed at promoting digital safety among children. As part of the celebrations, the "Stay Safe with SİBERAY" activity booklet—developed in collaboration with the General Directorate of Security of Türkiye—was gifted to young passengers at airport terminals

As part of the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, young passengers at Ankara Esenboğa, İzmir Adnan Menderes, Milas-Bodrum, and Gazipaşa airports—operated by TAV Airports—enjoyed a memorable day filled with special events. Children sharing the joy of the holiday at the terminals were presented with Turkish flags and various gifts, and had the chance to take commemorative photos. The experience was made even more special with activities such as guided terminal tours and aircraft visits. As part of the events, the "Stay Safe with SİBERAY" activity booklet—developed in cooperation with the Cyber Crimes Department of the Turkish National Police (SİBERAY)—was also distributed to children.

With this in mind, we created the ‘Stay Safe with SİBERAY’ activity booklet to provide children with fundamental information on cyber safety in a fun and engaging way, while encouraging safe digital behavior.

We chose to launch this initiative on April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children's Day—a day that holds special meaning as a gift to children. We are proud to contribute to broader efforts aimed at fostering digital awareness and promoting safe internet use among children across society,."

The "Stay Safe with SİBERAY" booklet is designed to help children learn the basics of digital safety in a fun and easy-to-understand way. Covering topics such as responsible technology use, digital literacy, cyberbullying, and personal data protection, the booklet features engaging content including puzzles, illustrations, and stories. These elements aim to equip children with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe in digital environments.
