TAV Airports: Changes in senior management
Karim Ben Salem is being appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of TAV Airports. He will assume the role from Burcu Geriş, who will step down from her position as of June 30. In addition to his role as CFO, Ben Salem will also serve on the Executive Committee of TAV Airports.
Karim Ben Salem graduated from ESCP Business School in 2011 and began his career in France as a mergers and acquisitions advisor in the consumer goods sector. He started at Leonardo&Co, followed by a position at Société Générale, a leading European bank. In 2016, he joined Groupe ADP—a global leader in airport operations and hospitality—where he held several key positions. He served as Business Planning Manager and, starting in 2019, as Group Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. In 2021, he additionally assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer of ADP International, the entity overseeing a part of Groupe ADP’s international activities, while continuing his responsibilities in financial planning and analysis.
Burcu Geriş joined TAV Airports in 2005, taking charge of Project and Structured Finance. She was appointed CFO in 2012 and has served as Deputy CEO and CFO since 2022. She has played a key role in the company’s transformation into a global brand, now operating 15 airports in eight countries and serving over 100 million passengers annually. Geriş will step down from her role on June 30, 2025.
Additionally, Nazım Yaprak has been appointed Deputy CFO of TAV Airports. Yaprak will continue to serve in his current role as Head of Treasury and Financial Affairs, alongside his new responsibilities. Yaprak graduated from Istanbul University and completed the Executive MBA program at Koç University. He is a former banker and has been working at TAV Airports for nearly 20 years.
