Serkan Kaptan

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Serkan Kaptan received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Istanbul University and completed the MBA program at Marmara University in 2002. Mr.
Kaptan joined TAV Airports in 1998 with the build-operate-transfer project for Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Until 2001, he worked as an airport operations consultant at Airport Consulting Vienna, a company owned by VIE, a partner of TAV Airports. Since 2002, he has been responsible for business development and strategy, airline marketing, research and development, and investments at TAV Airports. With 25 years of experience in airport and airline operations and public-private partnership infrastructure projects, Mr. Kaptan has served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of TAV Airports since 2016, as well as a Board Member in all of the Holding’s subsidiaries. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in May 2022. Mr. Kaptan is also an Executive Committee Member of ADP, responsible for Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and the CIS. Mr. Kaptan, serving as a Board Member of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) and as Chair of the DEIK Latvia-Türkiye Business Council, was elected to the Board of Directors of Airports Council International Europe (ACI EUROPE) in 2021. In 2024, he became the Honorary Consul of Latvia in Istanbul. Mr. Kaptan is married and has two children.
