Senior Appointments at TAV Airports and HAVAŞ

TAV Airports has made new appointments to the positions of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Chief Operating Officer – Airports (COO), effective 1 January 2026. Changes will also take place within the senior management team of Havaş, the ground handling subsidiary of TAV Airports.

Melis Tunaveli has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at TAV Airports. She will officially assume the role from Hakan Öker on 1 January 2026.

Tunaveli brings over 25 years of experience in human resources. She began her career at Roche A.Ş., later assuming leadership positions at Kraft Foods and Philip Morris International. She joined Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) in 2018, serving as HR Director for Türkiye between 2018–2023, and as a Human Resources Executive Committee Member between 2023–2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Koç University.

S.Mete Erna, General Manager of HAVAŞ, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer- Airports (COO) at TAV Airports. Erna will take over the role from Kürşad Koçak as of 1 January 2026. Koçak will become Chairman of the Board of HAVAŞ.

Erna completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Relations at Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences. He began his aviation career in 1995 at HAVAŞ and has since held various roles at airlines and ground handling companies in Türkiye and abroad. After rejoining HAVAŞ in 2014, he worked in sales, marketing, and business development. He served as Deputy General Manager of Sales & Marketing from October 2017, was appointed Acting General Manager on 1 July 2020, and became General Manager on 1 October 2020.

Mehmet Bozdemir, Deputy General Manager of HAVAŞ Warehouse Operations, has been appointed General Manager of HAVAŞ, effective 1 January 2026.

A graduate of Middle East Technical University’s Department of Economics, Bozdemir joined HAVAŞ in 1995. Throughout his career, he has held various managerial positions at the İzmir, Ankara, and Antalya stations, as well as within the General Directorate. He served as Deputy General Manager of Operations from 2015 and was appointed Deputy General Manager of Warehouse Operations in 2025.

Additionally, Turgay Günaydın, Deputy General Manager of HAVAŞ Bus Operations, has been appointed Deputy General Manager of Warehouse Operations.

Erol Kazcı, Deputy General Manager of HAVAŞ Technical and Logistics, has been appointed Senior Technical Expert at TAV Airports Holding
