Accessibility for all

TAV Airports has strengthened its commitment to enhancing the travel experience by partnering with WeWALK's DANIŞ Visual Support Service. This collaboration offers visually impaired passengers access to professional description and guidance through the WeWALK app, free of charge. This initiative, currently available at Antalya, Ankara Esenboğa, İzmir Adnan Menderes, Milas-Bodrum, and Gazipaşa-Alanya airports, aims to empower visually impaired travelers to navigate airports independently. TAV Airports plans to expand this service beyond Türkiye, promoting inclusivity and accessibility in air travel.

TAV Airports CHRO Hakan Öker has been included in the prestigious "Top 50 HR Leaders" list by Ekonomist Magazine. This annual ranking, running since 2015, showcases leaders who have effectively managed change through their emphasis on digitalization, human resources management, and organizational culture.

ATÜ Duty Free expands to Dalaman Airport

ATÜ Duty Free has expanded its offerings to Dalaman Airport as well, debuting Luxury Square, Luxury Eyewear pop-up, and Old Bazaar stores on the departures floor. The opening ceremony was attended by key figures including Dalaman Airport Border Governor Hayrettin Balcıoğlu, ATÜ Duty-Free CEO Ersan Arcan, YDA Operations and Revenue Director Orçun Songur, Unifree Duty Free Executive Board Member Sağnak Binzet, Western Mediterranean Customs Regional Director Kadri Karakuş, Dalaman Customs Director İbrahim Yücel, DHMI Dalaman Airport Chief Özay Güçlü, and ATÜ executives.

Havaş’s new guest

Havaş warmly welcomed the inaugural flight of AlbaStar Airlines to Nevşehir Cappadocia Airport with a display of flowers. Continuing its partnership, Havaş will extend its ground handling services to AlbaStar following their first flight from Pamplona Airport in Spain. Havaş is active at 32 airports across Türkiye, as well as in Latvia and Croatia, serving more than 200 airlines.

Antalya Airport hosts recycling art exhibition

Antalya Airport introduces a captivating blend of art and sustainability with the "Geriye Kalan (What Remains)" exhibition by artist Ayşecan Hizmet. Through creative use of electronic waste and discarded materials, Hizmet's thought-provoking works shed light on the impact of technology on our world. Visitors are invited to explore and reflect on this unique intersection of art and environmental consciousness.

TAV Technologies advancing aviation innovation worldwide!

TAV Technologies has commenced its services at both Zagreb and Heydar Aliyev airports. The company has implemented two solutions at these airports: the "Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS)," aimed at optimizing the efficient utilization of airport resources, and the "Travel Document Authorization System (TDAS)," which digitalizes travel document checks.

Primeclass lounges on at FAB+ Awards shortlist!

Bodrum and Muscat Primeclass Lounges have clinched spots on the FAB+ Awards shortlist for "Airport Lounge of the Year" and "Airport Lounge F&B Offer of the Year" respectively. The FAB Awards and FAB Superstars Awards are the pinnacle of industry recognition, attracting submissions from worldwide airports, concessionaires, and brands. An esteemed panel of expert judges, guided by industry professionals, meticulously evaluates all entries.

Enfidha is affirms emergency readiness

As part of the 2023 airport emergency plan, Enfidha-Hammamet Airport conducted a thorough emergency exercise to evaluate how well all airport stakeholders communicated, coordinated, and handled critical situations.Moreover, TAV Tunisie organized an Occupational Safety & Health Awareness Day at the airport, where employees and stakeholders received medical check-ups and valuable advice from healthcare experts.

Play It Forward

Play It Forward – Employee Value Recognition Program by TAV Macedonia

TAV Macedonia, the operator of Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, introduced the "Play it Forward" value recognition program through its HR Department. Employees nominated and voted for their colleagues who exemplified the company's core values in categories like Professionalism, Company culture, Dynamism, Innovation, and Teamwork. The program ran from March to late May, and winners received certificates and awards at a company ceremony held at both airports. The initiative showcases TAV Macedonia's commitment to valuing its employees and promoting a positive work environment.

Tbilisi Airport launches IndiGo's inaugural direct flight on the Delhi-Tbilisi Route

Direct flights between the capitals of Georgia and India have commenced. The inaugural flight on the Delhi-Tbilisi-Delhi route was successfully operated by the largest Indian airline, IndiGo. The flight carried 186 passengers departing from Tbilisi to Delhi.An official ceremony marked this significant occasion at Tbilisi International Airport. In attendance were Tea Zakaradze, the General Manager of TAV Georgia; Irakli Karkashadze, the Director of the United Airports of Georgia; Maya Omiadze, the Head of National Tourism Administration; Aleksandre Gachechiladze, the Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Agency; and representatives from the airline. Her Excellency Nilakshi Saha Sinha, the Ambassador of India, also graced the event with her presence.Regular flights on the Delhi-Tbilisi-Delhi route are scheduled three times a week. IndiGo, boasting a fleet of over 300 aircraft, operates more than 1850 daily flights, connecting 79 domestic destinations and 32 international destinations.

  • Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport has achieved Level 1-Mapping status by meeting ACI Carbon accreditation criteria. Enfidha Hammamet International Airport has fulfilled ACI's crucial criteria, allowing it to progress to Level 3+ Neutrality within the Airport Carbon Accreditation Programme.

  • All airlines have officially endorsed the modified fuel trucks at Almaty Airport in compliance with the IFQP (IATA Fuel Quality Pool) audit findings.

  • Sun Express has confirmed the expansion of its operations from Skopje Airport to Antalya and Izmir during the winter season. This marks the airline's first-time year-round flights on these routes.

  • Boeing said a new manufacturing flaw on its 737 Max will delay deliveries of its best-selling aircraft, the latest setback as the company tries to hand over more planes.

  • This new blended- wing jet concept burns 50% less fuel, and it could hit the skies by 2027. The U.S. Air Force just announced a $235 million grant to fund JetZero's full-scale, flying prototype.

  • Ryanair to reopen Copenhagen base despite airport charges swipe.

  • The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released a report outlining how and when eVTOL and other electric aircraft will populate the skies. Its 36-page “Innovate28” plan says air taxis and flying cars will be traveling over urban areas in sizable numbers by 2028. The federal agency expects the first will fly commercially in 2025.

  • London Gatwick has submitted an application - known as a Development Consent Order (DCO) - to the Planning Inspectorate (PINS), outlining its ambition to bring the airport’s existing Northern Runway into routine use alongside its Main Runway. By investing in its long-term future, London Gatwick will also enhance the crucial economic role it plays by creating around 14,000 new jobs and injecting £1 billion into the region’s economy every year. This growth would come from increased tourism, trade, supply-chain, and other business opportunities.

  • Europe's Airbus inaugurated a new assembly line for its A321neo passenger jet in Toulouse, southwestern France, granting a new lease of life to the deserted hangar where the defunct A380 superjumbo was once built as it basks in record demand for smaller medium-haul jets.

  • IATA emphasized its opposition to a proposed ban on night flights at Brussels Zaventem airport. The proposal is premature as it ignores Belgium’s international obligations under the Balanced Approach to noise, including bilateral air service agreements and which is also enshrined in EU law.
