İzmir and Ankara airports join ACI World Director General’s Roll of Excellence
Ankara Esenboğa and İzmir Adnan Menderes have become the first two airports in Türkiye to be inducted into the ACI World Director General’s Roll of Excellence. The awards ceremony took place during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Istanbul.
Ankara Esenboğa, İzmir Adnan Menderes, Tbilisi and Skopje airports, operated by TAV Airports—a member of Groupe ADP—received Airports Council International (ACI World) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards.
Recognised for their consistent performance over the past decade, İzmir and Ankara airports earned a place on the ACI World Director General’s Roll of Excellence. They are the first airports from Türkiye to join the list, which includes 99 airports worldwide.

At the ASQ Customer Experience Awards, Ankara Esenboğa Airport received the Best Airport at Departures (5 to 15 Million Passengers) – Europe and Most Enjoyable Airport – Europe awards.İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport was also recognised in the same passenger category, receiving the Best Airport at Departures – Europe, Easiest Airport Journey – Europe, Most Enjoyable Airport – Europe and Cleanest Airport – Europe awards.In the 2 to 5 million passengers category, Tbilisi Airport received the Best Airport at Departures – Europe, Most Dedicated Staff – Europe, Easiest Airport Journey – Europe, Most Enjoyable Airport – Europe and Cleanest Airport – Europe awards. Skopje Airport was also recognised among Europe’s best in the Easiest Airport Journey – Europe category.
