Antalya Airport and BFA Named Europe’s Best in Airport Food & Beverage

Fraport TAV Antalya Airport received multiple awards at the prestigious Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards, one of the aviation and travel hospitality industry's leading global events. During the conference, it was also officially announced that Antalya Airport will host FAB 2027.

FTA Exclusive Premium Lounge was named Airport Lounge of the Year, while Taste of Anatolia won Airport Food & Beverage Offer of the Year and Chef Ömür Akkor was named Airport Chef of the Year.

Thanks to the innovative food and beverage concepts developed by BFA over the past two years, Antalya Airport ranked among the world's top five airports for airport food and beverage and was named the best in Europe.

Fraport TAV Antalya Airport returned with outstanding achievements from the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards, held in Bangalore, India, one of the aviation and travel retail industry's most respected annual events. The airport received multiple international accolades in recognition of its significant investments in passenger experience, gastronomy, and premium services.

The awards highlighted the investments made as part of Antalya Airport's terminal expansion project. FTA Exclusive Premium Lounge received the Airport Lounge of the Year award, while BFA, which operates the airport's food and beverage facilities, earned a total of nine awards across multiple categories, making it one of the event's standout winners.

Taste of Anatolia, celebrating Türkiye's rich culinary heritage, won the Airport Food & Beverage Opening of the Year award, as well as Airport Food & Beverage Offer Best Representing Sense of Place and Airport Restaurant Design of the Year. Chef Ömür Akkor, creator of the concept, was named Airport Chef of the Year. At the regional level, Antalya Airport – BFA was recognised as Europe Regional Winner in the Airport Food & Beverage Offer of the Year category. Taste of Anatolia also received the Airport Food Hall of the Year – Europe Regional Winner award. Sherefe was named Europe Regional Winner in both the Airport Bar or Pub of the Year and Airport Food & Beverage Innovation Award categories, while Needstop received the Airport Food to Go Offer of the Year – Europe Regional Winner award.

FAB 2027 to Be Held in Türkiye for the First Time

During the conference, it was officially announced that the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards 2027 will be held in Türkiye for the first time, hosted by Fraport TAV Antalya Airport.

The event will bring together nearly 400 airport executives, brand representatives, and industry professionals from around 40 countries, providing an international platform to showcase Antalya Airport's service excellence and vision for the future of passenger experience.
